About the Gallery

“This gallery is featuring artists of great caliber, and is building a reputation for itself in Northern California."
- Susan Laird, Village Life Newspaper

"This show rivals recent showings of California art at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, and future exhibits promise to be of additional cultural significance. Folsom’s little free, community art gallery is absolutely worth taking the time to visit."
- Village Life Newspaper

The Gallery at 48 Natoma brings high quality, original art exhibits to our community that otherwise are not be available in the area.  The City of Folsom Community and Cultural Services Division opened the Gallery at 48 Natoma in June of 2007. As part of a dual purpose building combined with a Senior Lounge, the Gallery at 48 Natoma and the Art Center comprise the entire front half of the 11,000 sq ft facility. There are two exhibition spaces at 48 Natoma:  the professional Main Gallery and the Community Gallery. In the Main Gallery, an interesting line-up of art exhibits showcases a wide variety of art by regional and national professional artists, area museum collections as well as national traveling exhibitions. The Community Gallery features shows by local artists, community art contests, student work, and regional art organizations. Current Exhibit
"Delicate Balance"

March 17 - May 4, 2017

Mixed-media by Marsha Balian, paintings by Irene Belknap, sculpture by Jennifer Johnson

With the recent closure of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the word circus is changing from a noun to something merely descriptive. It is useful in describing many situations and perhaps current events, but an actual circus in the historic sense of three rings, animals, stunts and clowns may become a thing of the past. In this exhibit at the Gallery at 48 Natoma, three artists will balance tight rope walkers, stunt girls on horseback, clowns, jugglers, and brightly costumed performers in a circus of imagery. Painter Irene Belknap, mixed-media artist Marsha Balian and sculptor Jennifer Johnson will show their art work in the exhibit, Delicate Balance
