The City of Folsom offers Bulky Waste Pickup, a free service available three times per year to Folsom single family residential customers. It offers an easy way for residents to dispose of bulky items that do not fit in their standard garbage cans.
An 18-month schedule of infrastructure and road improvements is starting south of Highway 50 for the new Folsom Ranch plan area—3,513 acres annexed into the City of Folsom in 2012. This spring and summer, construction activities will include infrastructure and safety improvements such as water, sewer, streets and utilities, plus temporary closures and detours of Placerville Road and Scott Road.
Work will begin this week on the second phase of the Johnny Cash Trail, located at East Natoma Street and Folsom Prison Road. This phase of the project includes 1.25 miles of Class I paved trail, an undercrossing tunneling beneath Prison Road to allow trail users to safely bypass vehicular traffic, and a beautiful 190-foot wooden arched bridge that will provide views of the American River Canyon, Lake Natoma, and beyond.
